Hi Pascal - how long have you been armwrestling?
I started in 1988 so 14 years ago, first
with the nationals and then with the Worlds in Sweden.
How did you get
I just read a report on a newspaper and then as I was not too bad with this kind of games on school so why not try?... and it was in fact not too bad I won the nationals and then I've been qualified for the worlds
In this time armwrestling was in itís early beginning in Switzerland so nothing was easy, but I still have very goo thoughts of this time.
Iíve participated in a really large range of tournaments across Europe and some in USA, getting to know a lot of really good armwrestlers, and most important some really good friends. And on the plan strictly Swiss we are trying to increase the interest in the sport as a sport but it is not really easy due to the mentality of the country for sport.
Iíve been 20 times Swiss champion (15 right arm, 2 left arm, 3 overall)
4 times second in European many times third.
Third on the worlds and winner of a lot of International competitions.
And I can say is thanks for the support of all my friends especially Neil Pickup and his friends from England, Jean Pierre Barbero of Switzerland, and many others.
As I'm training mostly alone itís not so easy to find out the right way. I've done a special machine for training my hand fingers and wrist also for my brachial extend. Iím also pulling a bit on the gym but regardless the best training is on the table, nothing can replace this.
I just want to say there many different directions in armwrestling and everyone has to find out what works best for themselves.
All the best for everybody and I hope to meet soon pullers on the table.
Stay hungry and keep training.
