VISA INFORMATION: ALL INDIVIDUALS (including
Canada) need to obtain Visas to enter the
United States and to attend this tournament. ALL COUNTRIES (except
Canada) REQUIRE an Interview for every
individual before granting a Visa for the U.S. Forms can be
picked up at United States Embassies in each country. Every individual
needs a copy of the invitation to the tournament from United States
ArmSports and a passport as part of the requirements. An additional
suggestion: bring photos of each individual competing at a tournament. Each
individual must also provide a reason for their return to their home country. (i.e.: property owned in their country, a
job, family etc.)
The XXIII WAF World Armwrestling Championships being held at the Hilton
Springfield, 7th & Adams, Springfield, Illinois USA November 10-18, 2002.
Each team is responsible for all cost and expenses for attendance at this
tournament. Your teams should fly into the Springfield, ILLINOIS
airport. Transportation will be provided for your team from the Springfield,
Illinois airport only. Please advise us as soon as possible of your
arrival and departure times into Springfield so we can schedule transportation
for you and your team. American Airlines is offering a special group rate when
you use the code listed below. If you choose to fly in and out of St. Louis
you are responsible for your own transportation. St. Louis is 90 miles from
Springfield where the tournament is being held. You may rent a car OR take the
Greyhound bus from St. Louis at your own expense to attend the tournament.
