June 2007
With the
second leg of the Triple Crown being completed we now have only two pullers
that are eligible to win the Triple Crown. They are Don Fritsche and
Herman McCoy. The Triple Crown is now up to $4,500.00. If one or both of
these competitors doesn't win their class at the Unified Nationals in Kansas
City, MO the money will roll over to next year. With the possibility of
$10,000.00 at stake I wonder what big names will take a crack at it next
year. Maybe Brzenk, Bagent, Cadorette or will some unknown come along and
win it all?.
What has
happened to the Women Competitors??. I just returned from the 2007 NE
Championship in CT and there were no women entries. This year at the Can-Am
Championship we offered three classes for the women and had 9 entries. At
Loon Mt we had 3 entries. At the Biker's Championship we had 4 entries. I
understand that at the AAA Nationals there were not that many Ladies
either. Ladies if you don't make an attempt at competing then a lot of the
promoters will not be willing to run Women's Classes. I run the web page
for the Women's Ranking and at the last update I only received one list for
the update. There are 6 ladies on the panel in Canada and not one returned
their picks. In the US only one panel member returned her list. Ladies
this ranking system is in an attempt to help the Ladies get some
acknowledgment for their hard work and dedication. The panels are made up
of Women Armwrestlers to be fair. If the next update which is the end of
June is the same as the the March update I will probably discontinue the
Women's Ranking.
