            I hope everyone that came to the cookout/practice/pool party had a good time.  We had about 30 people there plus a bunch of kids.  It was nice to see Graceann Swift again.  She looked great and thinks she might get back into armwrestling.  She just needs to get into shape and do some training.  We could do this once or twice a month if enough pullers are interested. Either Saturday or Sunday.  Anyone interested let me know.

            The problem with the Women's Ranking has not changed much.  Last update I only received one panel members list from the US and none from Canada.  This time I have received one from the US and one from Canada.  As a result of this I will probably discontinue the Women's Ranking page.

I will update it this time and that will be the end.  I will leave it on-line for awhile.

Upcoming Events

            August 4/5.   The USAF Unified Nationals will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Kansas City, MO.

This will be the only qualifier for the WAF World Championships in Bulgaria later this year.  All 1^st & 2^nd place finishers will qualify.  Flyers are posted on the USAF site and also the Northeast Board.  This Nationals is also a qualifier for the Arnold Classic.  For more info call Bill Collins @ 209-826-2873

            August 8.    The Bikers Armwrestling Challenge will be held at the Broken Spoke Saloon on 13025 Broken Spoke Blvd in Whitewood, SD.  This is the new Broken Spoke and it is just on the Sturgis County line.  Classes for Men's Right, Left and Masters plus Women.  Awards for 1^st to 3^rd in all classes.  Weigh-inf from Noon to 1:30, contest starts at 2pm.   Meet Director is Harry Bean.  This is an IAF Sanctioned Event.

            August 11.   The Frank Gleason Memorial will be held at Michaels Bridge Diner on 56 Main St in Lancaster, MA.  This will also be the Massachusetts State Championships.   The event will be held in a tent out back of the Restaurant.   Weigh-ins from Noon to 1:30pm.  Contest starts at 2pm.  There will be 2 cash drawings, one for the open classes worth $700.00 and one for the novice classes worth $300.00.  Trophies for 1^st to 3^rd in all classes.  Meet Director is Bill Cox.  For more info call Bill at  508-947-8958 or e-mail to iaf1@comcast.net    This is an IAF Sanctioned Event.

            August 25.   The Slam on the Sand will be held on the Pier at Old Orchard Beach, ME. There will be 17 weight classes for men & women plus a Super-heavyweight right hand class for $700.00.
