The first leg of the Triple Crown is finished.  Last year Cobra Rhodes won the whole thing alone and $5,000.00.   This year so far there is a total of $4,000.00 so far in the pot.  Cobra Rhodes has not qualified for this year's event.  It remains to be seen if one person can win it this year.  John Brzenk has won 2 classes at the USAA Pro Am qualifier and I don't believe that he will compete at both of the other qualifiers.  That would leave two classes that would be eliminated from the contest.  I believe that Bob Brown, John Parton and Mike West will attend the other two qualifiers.  There is a big NAL event the same day as the AAA Nationals, which is the second leg of the Triple Crown.  There are a lot of top pullers listed as part of the NAL event which could further change the outcome of the Triple Crown.  In case there is no winner the money would roll over to 2008.  The third leg of the Triple Crown is the USAF Unified Nationals in August.  Results from the USAA Pro Am are posted on the results page of the Northeast Board ( http://northeastboard.com )  I just want to say thanks to Bob Brown for starting the Triple Crown and keeping it going every year.
