The first leg of the Triple Crown is over and the 1st place finishers there are the only ones that have a chance of winning the Triple Crown.   The prize money now is up to $5,000.00 now.  The next leg is the AAA Nationals on June 2/3 in Mason, OH.  That should narrow the list down a bit.  The 3rd and final leg is the USA Unified Nationals on August 4/6 in Denver, CO.  The results of the 1st leg are posted on the IAF Message Board( http://iafboard.proboards37.com/  ).  We want to wish everyone trying to win the Triple Crown the best of luck.  It will be quite a feat to win all three events.

We have added  cash awards to the Point Championship.  The way this will work is that at Sanctioned event the Meet Director will post $25 to the Points Fund, at the end of the year the top 3

will receive a Cash Award.  We are still working out the details.  For this year as we are starting out almost half way through the year we will award the cash as follows: 50% for 1st,  30% for 2nd,  20% for 3rd.  We have added a Point Fund page to the IAF site which will keep track of the money involved. After each event the amount of money will be posted there for everyone to keep track of, this way everyone will have an idea of how much money they are trying to win.  Full details about next year will be posted on the site as well as in a future newsletter.  We may give cash to the top 3 and maybe a plaques to 4th to 6th.  We will have to wait and see how it plays out this year.

It is amazing how the Internet has made armwrestling more accessible to everyone.  The USA site has listings for events from all over the World plus Results.  You can fine events quicker than ever and also see the results almost the next day.   Arm TV has given all pullers a look at some of the best pullers in the World, this is also great as a training tool.  And of course there is the best message board in the World, The Northeast Board with members from all over the World.  Not only can you talk to these pullers but you can also see a picture of them.   This is great when you attend bigger events and run into them.  Be sure to check out these tools and use them.  We have a link page with links to pullers around the World ( http://iaf1.homestead.com/events.html )  plus an e-mail page and a training page with training sessions listed from all over.  If anyone has a training session and would like to be added just e-mail me with the info or click on the link on the page.
